I wonder what the story is on those frames. I have a few pictures that came with what appears to be a pre-printed frame.
I've been wondering about that same thing, Wendy. There are quite a few pictures in this 1940's scrapbook with this frame. Researching Elko is on my list. I'm thinking it is specific to brand of camera or a developer. I'll let you know.
