This weeks Royal Wedding Announcement brought back memories of Princess Di.
I happened upon this lovely Commerative photo while browsing a favorite Antique Shop.
It just so happened that the Pink Glasses and Pink Powder Box were displayed with the framed photo.
As Always.....Thank-you Beverly at How Sweet The Sound for making Saturdays Pink!
I know you will enjoy your visits with the Featured Pinkies and All the Listed Pinkies!
My ShoutOut this week is....LV at Thoughts from Meme's Corner! Ya'll will absolutely LOVE LV and her Sweet Texas Blog! Yep, another Texas Gal!
What a nice surprise, when I saw my name mentioned. Thanks so very much. I loved your post for Pink Saturday. I had a lot admiration for Princess Di and was very sad when we lost her. Such a waste. I dearly loved the song Elton John sang in her honor. I even bought the record. I trust this new wedding will work better.
ReplyDeleteLovely post on a lovely English Rose. She lived her life in as classy a way as she could in her predicament.
ReplyDeleteLovely post. Thanks for the memories.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday.
Sue, this is such a sweet appropriate post for this week. I'm among those who admired this beautiful lady!

How nice to see this! A lovely post.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
I just adored Lady Di. I remember the day she died and Hubby called to me from the other room after he saw it on TV. My jaw hit the floor.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post.
Di
I was also a fan of Lady Di. I sure hope Katherine doesn't have the problems she had. The young couple look so happy!
ReplyDeleteLoved your post today!
Have a great Pink Sat!! Dana
Good morning Sue, you just gave me the best chuckle. I love the straw turkey with the pink flowers too. Yep, I see my stuff on Google all the time.
ReplyDeleteI too loved the English Rose, Diana. My daughter's name is Diane. May she rest in peace. Something she didn't have while she was alive. A nice post Sue.
Wishing you happy days for the coming holidays.
Warm hugs, Jeanne
Yes, it's true, you can't help but think about Diana and all her beauty and grace. Her son looks so much like her that she is there all the time. Happy Pink Saturday, Char
ReplyDeleteHappy PINK Saturday Sue! Oh I so remember Charles and Diana's fairytale wedding. I was at my parents house and my sister and I got early to watch the whole thing. Diana was truly a Queen. I wonder what the future wedding will be like? Have a great weekend, Nan
ReplyDeleteI will always cherish the memory of this wonderful young woman...thanks for a beautiful heartfelt post!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Coralie
Wasn't she lovely?
ReplyDeleteI have many Lady Di items, and really enjoy what you did today! I can't wait for William's wedding, and will probably stay up all night to watch it = as I did when Lady Di and Charles married 20 years ago. I think the world is a better place, because she was in it. May her memory live on! Sandi
ReplyDeleteI also adored Princess Diana. Her sons look so much like her. What an exciting time for the Prince and his bride to be.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!

I have such sweet memories of Princess Di, too. She was so classy. She was probably the closest thing I've ever had to a "hero" (outside of family, etc).
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late visit- I think of busy Saturdays as a "Pink Weekend" since it takes me that long to visit everyone!
Happy belated PS!
In shoes we trust,
Maggie Mae@
"Do these shoes match this purse?"
I had fun catching up on your blog as I had not visited for awhile! I loved Diana and have some memorabilia. Her death and life were so tragic. Your fall photos are wonderful! Hugs, Kerrie
ReplyDeleteI loved Di and am in love with Kate now! I am so excited for them both. Happy Thanksgiving Sister, Hugs, Mollye
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, Sue.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely post. I have been feeling sentimental about Di, too. I like to think she is smiling on this couple.
I think Kate will step into the role that Diana began years ago. She is a confident young woman and I think she will do great things to improve the lackluster royals as we know. them. Anne
