Although the Prize Pink Pirkenhammer Plate has NEVER had ANY Holiday Food exposure!

 Pirkenhammer is a trade mark of porcelain, produced in Březová, Karlovy Vary, since 1803.   My plate has a Hallmark that suggests it was made between 1918 - 1938 in Czechoslovakia according to the Hallmarks by the makers of Pirkenhammer.  In my search on the www, the closest pattern to this piece was valued at $95.

The most interesting bit of History on this Trademarked Bohemian Porcelan is the story of the Plate that survived the Titanic.  You can read about that HERE.

Now, my Favorite and OftenUsed Platter is the Betsy Rose made by Harmony House in the good ole USA.

It's Hallmark is Stamped and Numbered 4689 and is Ovenproof, Crazeproof and Detergentproof.
