I swear it is Shameful they way she uses us Texas Gals to further her Blog on the WholeWideWeb.
Now, she's gonna be Bashin' Texas Barnyards.
Do you think the Longhorns know?
OMGosh, I bet the Heifers are gatherin' their CowChips and gonna bake up a pile of those CowChip Cookies.
It'd be just like them to try and setup a fancy table for all the folks that are gonna be visiting.
Maybe we outta do a little Milkin'! You know that Goats Milk is all the Rage these days?"

ReplyDeleteROFL This is darling! I love visiting you ...
ReplyDeleteMy Mother's sister one time made a nana-berry pie (using the REAL thing - goat poop) for her FIL. True story ... he was a bit startled to receive it.
Have to try this recipe. TY for sharing.
Have a beautiful weekend.
TTFN ~ Hugs, Marydon
Sue, you have the best Texas humor of anyone. Darling photos and text for your Barnyard Bash. I'll have to make a batch of these Texas Cow Chip cookies sometime. It's a new recipe to me. Guess this may be a West TX thing. You know I grew up in South Texas where King Ranch Chicken is THE recipe. LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat party! ~ Sarah
Sue, I love it!!! How fun to to have your own goats and cows, your pictures are great! I've never had goats milk (Philly gal), but I'd sure love to try it with a big ole cookie! Thank you so much for joining the Barnyard Bash:@)
ReplyDeleteOh how fun to have your own farm animals. Love the goats, but cows are always my favorite. I was born in Texas and love a farm. Your post is way too cute. I do have to try the cookies. Thanks for your visit and your gracious comments. I've enjoyed meeting you. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThat is sweet! I was a little worried about the cowchip cookies until I saw the recipe! I just made goat cheese for the first time...had to buy the milk I live in town and do not have a goat. I look forward to hearing your stories and am going to take a peek at your ancestor blog now!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought my little piggies were pretty sassy. Those goats of yours would give them a run for their money. Very creative. I really liked what you did with your post as well. So if its okay this norther gal will hitch up with you for a ride.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and the cookies sound delicious! You made me remember that there are cows just a few blocks from my home...I could have visited them and not had to take a fish to the party!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit!
Sue
Just my kind of barnyard post! Real barnyard, real animals, and a very fun and clever Collectingal too!

Hi Sue...

Mmmm...and thank you for your Cow Chip cookies...they sound delicious! I'm so glad that you joined in the Barnyard Bash today...I had fun partying with you!!!
Warmest wishes,

Oh, my goodness! You get the prize ~ you've got the real things. Look at those little goats! They're so cute.
ReplyDeleteNow those cookies sound mighty tasty! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Glad you're back. Missed you.
ReplyDeleteSue, you sure know how to partay. No one has thought of serving cow chips. No food makes a dull party in my book. This recipe sounds great. Love the goats and that pic of the cows is fun. The calf looks like he is being squished. I have never had goats milk. Not sure I want any. I am not a fan of milk unless it is home made cottage cheese or whipped cream. I lived on a farm when I was a kid and I don't mean goat. HA!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are back Sue.
Hugs, Jeanne
Well Dang, if that ain't the cutest bash in the barnyard yet! Thanks for sharing your CowChips!

ReplyDeleteGoats are gossipy, aren't they.
Thanks for sharing the recipe.
I love to look at goats. I hear they are good pets, like dogs.
ReplyDeleteThe goat face through the chain link is a fabulous shot. It should be framed.
