I'm using them to show off the last roses from my Rose Bushes. I've said that several times since the last ones were suppose to be done back in September.
Well, here it is November and those Pink Roses are still blooming like it's May! Mother Nature has sure had her Pink Panties in a Wad this year! I've given up on trying to predict Texas weather.
I've also brought out the Month of November Birthday Angel from that collection to help celebrate the November Rose Parade and Pink Saturday.
A little information on the EAPC Vases. They were made by Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation from 1960 to 1999 and come in the two sizes I used for the Pink Roses.
These two sizes are fairly easy to find in Thrift and Antique Shops and are among the least expensive pieces in the 700 Line of Star EAPC pieces. The 10 inch vase is listed at $12 and the 81/2 inch one for $7. The smaller one is the only piece that is still being made today by Anchor Hocking for the Floral Industry.
I guess you have figured out by now that this post is REALLLLY All about the PINK ROSES!
Please stop by How Sweet The Sound and see what Pinkness Beverly has for this November Pink Saturday.
You know that's where the LIST of PINKIE Participants can be found as well. So be sure and check out the Newbies, the Featured Pinkies and all the Pinkies on the List!
Last week I visited a Featured Blog Mille Fiori Favoriti. Listen Ya'll, I've never been to New York City and if I ever get to go, I'm callin' Pat to see if she'll be my Guide. Her beautiful Blog is all about New York City and chocked full of fabulous Photographs by Pat. Go There...It's a Trip...I've been to New York City everday this past week....via Mille Fiori Favoriti...I can't pronounce that with my Texas accent....good thing I can type in Italian!
I wish I could grow roses. My mom had a rose bush that grew big roses. When both my parents passed away, I dug up the bush and transplated it at my house. I've only had one rose from it and I dried and saved it in honor of mom. It was pink. Love your EAPC. I have both vases!~Ames

Such lovely pinks and the vases are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely roses. I know what you mean about the last rose. Although mine aren't really showy anymore, I keep getting a few roses as well. Unlike me, it looks like you have the perfect vases to put them in. Thanks for sharing your beautiful roses today. Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses! I too keep waiting for that last bloom. Everytime another pops up I tell my girls we better enjoy it because it will be the last. They just roll their eyes at me now!! Gotta love Texas weather!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are so lovely. Mother Nature is doing a great job of providing color in November. Thanks for providing us with a tour of your china hutch. Can't wait to see what next.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday.
Happy Pink Saturday Sue Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteAs always I so enjoy popping on over and seeing what you have to share.
I could smell the heavenly scent of the roses before I even got here. They were just drawing me over sweetie. How heavenly. A scent a girl never tires of.
I love this celebration share of yours. It is so much fun, and I just thank you for inviting me on over. Love that little November angel as well. Is she not the most precious little thing ever? I love their faces. She just twinkles with love sweetie.
I hope you have a beautiful Saturday. Off to start on another cleaning project. Just a couple of more days and Momma will be here. I can hardly wait, I am so darn excited.
Happy Pink Saturday sweetie, and have a glorious weekend. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

I love your collection and the vases are just beautiful, esp with roses in the month of November. I bet they smell heavenly too. Love the angel......Happy Pink Saturday, Char
ReplyDeleteWow, lucky you, roses still blooming! Your vases are gorgeous of course, but the roses steal the show! I've given up trying to predict the weather too!
ReplyDeleteHappy PS,
Jacalyn
Your collection is amazing. Happy Pink Sat and Happy November!
ReplyDeleteGood Grief, Your gorgeous roses make my one pitiful last rose look like something that was growing in the weeds by the lake (which by the way does actually have wild tiny pink roses each Spring).....your roses are gorgeous Sue and that vase too. I have one of those vases. I put cuttings from my potato vines in it to overwinter up in my bedroom. HPS xo Lynn
ReplyDeleteRoses in November - it doesn't get much better than that....and pink roses...be still my heart!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue
ReplyDeleteYour pink roses are really lovely, Sue! I like pink roses the best and you are lucky to have them blooming so late this year.
My daughter was born in November, so I also own a little November angel statue for her :)
Thanks so much for featuring me on this Pink Saturday! This was a wonderful surprise! Hugs, Pat
Even though it is almost time to festoon the house with poinsettias, I gravitate toward the roses in the fresh flower area of my grocery store. Kelli got married at Christmas time and we had fun buying armfuls of red and white roses, but PINK is always lovely, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love your roses very much. They are one of my favorite flower. Mine have bloomed so much longer than usual. Now they are gone. However, I do not have the beautiful glassware to put my in like you do. You have some very pretty things.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog today & welcoming me to Pink Saturday...you're so kind.
ReplyDeleteI see that we both love our roses!! :O)
Have a wondrous weekend.
Those roses are so vibrant for this late in the year! I can almost smell them.
ReplyDeleteHappy PS!
Licks & wags, Niki
You so lucky, pink roses in November. Sigh...Have a great pink saturday and take care.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous roses and vases! But the angel caught my attention immediately because it made me remember that I used have the May angel. I do not know what ever happened to her. She was a gift from my grandmother and I have to confess that until I saw your November angel, I had forgotten all about her.
ReplyDeleteI love the daisy glasses pictured on your sidebar. You are quite right and I too love Pat's blog. She has the best and most informative posts and it is always a pleasure to read them. She would be a fantastic tour guide!

I love pink and I love roses. You're speaking straight to my heart!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful..Thank you for sharing...
ReplyDeleteHAPPY PINK SATURDAY
Sue, those pink roses are yummy!
ReplyDeleteI smiled when I sawa your little November angel. My mom had one for each of us, but also had them for the other months of the year. One of my nieces now has the little angels that once belonged to my mom.
So sweet! Thank you for sharing...and for stopping by my blog to wish me a Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm just getting around...I think I overdid it last week and it caught up with me this weekend...of all weekends!
Hugs,
Suzanne
Hi Sue, this pink is gorgeous. So are the vases. I was in Fl. for the weekend and I am just catching up. You are a Pinkie A # 1. Smile.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jeanne
Greetings and Happy Belated Pink Saturday, sweet Sue. I love that you always have a smile here for us.
ReplyDeleteYour roses are gorgeous. We still have a few blooms, too, but I dare say they are the last for this season.
I so enjoyed reading and seeing your posts of your wonderful collection.
