ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM...Along Texas Roads!

Texas Wildflower Gourd Vine...Cucurbita Species.
The vines grow wild in Texas blooming in the spring along with other wildflowers in fields and on roadsides.

Imagine my surprise and delight to find NineDotBacked Beatle Bugs...a new SuSpecies...when ZoomZoomZooming my Texas Roadside Photographs.

So, I'll be Zooming over to Mary's Mosaic Monday to announce the discovery of these NineDotBacked Bugs.

I feel sure they are exclusive to Texas, and will be the subject for the article I'm sure I'll be asked to present when the word gets out.
Sincerely,

  7. Sue, your photos are stunning. Love those little nine dot bugs, but hope I don't find any in my garden. I bet they like to eat those leaves. :-)

  16. Beautiful photos, Sue!

I'm clicking to follow, so I will be sure to keep up with your family story. My daddy was a Texan, I spent lots of good time there, while growing up and lived there for awhile as well. I have Texas ancestors too, although I don't know much about them.

  18. Amazing that the gourd plant just grows wild along side the road. The bug looks very similar to cucumber beetles except with dots instead of stripes!

    Have a beautiful day!

Great job on the photo mosaic. You know, those vines look very much like the zucchini that is growing in my garden.

  22. My kids could tell you, "there are hundreds and hundreds of species of beetles," but none of them are as great as your fantastically clear picture. GAH, I am jealous of both your mad camera skill and your camera.
