And now stays Faith, Hope, Charity, these three; but the greatest of these is Charity.
First Corinthians 13:13American King James Version
The Three Sister Saints Faith, Hope and Charity and their Mother, Saint Sophia are described in Roman Martryology.
There are numerous interpretations of their story, and have been
recognized Symbols of Humanity throughout History.
A Campaign of Faith Hope and Charity has answered the call of Humanity in Crisis with the
Earthquake that devastated Haiti.
Today for Pink Saturday, I am showing some of the Stitched Symbols
I have collected for Faith Hope and Charity.
Faith is symbolized in the Cross.
Hope is symbolized in the Anchor.
Charity is symbolized in the Heart.
To the Country of Haiti and All Who are There Today,
We offer Faith through our Prayers.
We offer Hope through our Steadfast Support.
We offer Charity through our Heartfelt Donations!
Needlework has long been a form of expression in so many different walks of life. Creators of Needlework, Crafts and Art come from every country in the world,
from every SocioEconomic background and from the Human Heart.
Is it any wonder then that we Join Hands and Join the Organizations
in support of Humanity in Need.
My 'ShoutOut' for this Pink Saturday goes to Cat the GypsyNurse at WritingOutLoud. She has 'Joined Hands' in a very special way through her ETSY Shop. Click HERE for the post titled "ETSY Shop Sales Go To The People of Haiti."

The Huffington Post is one of many WebNews sites that has Information on How To Help. The Relief Organizations are linked there. Of important note is the 'Hope for Haiti Telethon" that will Air Across Networks on January 22nd.

A lovely post (and what a nice background, lol lol lol).
ReplyDeleteAs you read in my PS post, I am very saddened that I've had to put word verification back on due to my email address being hijacked on Friday, so I spent most of yesterday doing damage limitation. So I'm now moderating AND have word verification (which I will take off again in a week or so, once the hackers get the message). So I apologise for that.
Of the two, I still think the Moderate All Comments is the best (and the one I'll revert to), as I have still seen spam on blogs where the word verification is on but then the comment allowed to go straight to the blog.
An apologetic and belated Happy Pink Saturday on Sunday!
Happy Pink Saturday, dear Sue.
ReplyDeleteThank you for using this opportunity to share this wonderful post. Our hearts are joined in prayer for all.
Thank for the sweet words...
